Music

Music is an important part of worship at FCC of Sharon. We are blessed with a talented musician, Soomi Lee, and Music/choir Director, Joan Miller!

Chancel Choir

The choir sings every Sunday from September to June. They rehearse once a week in the evening on Tuesdays and on Sunday morning before services, typically singing one anthem and leading the congregation in hymns and responses. The choir also sings at special services for Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday. All adults and older youth with singing experience are invited to join. Reading music is helpful but not required.

We practice very Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:40 pm. Singers, new and seasoned, are welcome!

“Jump In” Choir

Occasionally, anyone so inclined is invited to join the choir in singing the anthem of the day. Rehearsal is Sunday morning before our service. No regular commitment is required and music reading is not necessary. It is a wonderful way for anyone to sing without a weekly commitment.

The FCC Band consists of members of the congregation – singers, soloists, guitarists, cellists, pianists and bongo players, who occasionally play popular styles of music such as jazz and gospel throughout the year.
